| FSRail was an implementation of railways into the
Microsoft Flight Simulator. Written for FS95 and FS98 in the
beginning, it could get transformed to the elvated mesh world of
FS2000, and also works in FS2002. Usage in FS2002 of any
conventional scenery is anyhow restricted by its inherent
incompatibility to the autogen scenery. For the railways, this means
that city centers do not show houses near the rails. The FS2002
Scenery SDK gives no solution to this problem.
Therefore FSRail is no longer continued. The existing costumors
will be supported for FS98, FS2000 and FS2002. I like to thank all
of you who went this way with me some time ago.
But since the advent of MS Trainsim, only one copy of FSRail got
sold. A port to any future version of the Microsoft Flight Simulator
is assumed to be impossible anyway, since one hears no BGL files
will be supported.
I may point you to other activities, that will continue to carry
the name and the spirit of FSRail;
FSMESH - a design tool to manipulate the elevated mesh for
FS2000 and FS2002 and to integrate it with FS2000 scenery
FSLandClass - a design tool to modify the coverage of the mesh
in FS2002
FSLandClass
scenery -
now
most of the world with a highly realistic coverage.
